“How Did This Get Made” podcast recently sat down with Punisher: War Zone director Lexi Alexander and comedian Patton Oswalt to talk about the process behind getting the movie produced.
Lexi speaks very candidly about getting offered the film, her bid to direct Wanted, and the position of female directors in Hollywood.
It’s also very nice to hear everyone on the panel speak very positively about PWZ. I’ve talked about this before, that I thought it was loads of bloody violent fun, and I don’t understand how you could expect anything more from a Punisher movie (and yes, I’ve read “The Slavers” arc, but if a movie gets made about horrors of human trafficking, I really don’t think they’d choose the Punisher to convey that message).
great episode and thanks, its always great when i discover new (and good!) podcasts.
Oh and PWZ is one of my all time favorite movies. It certainly was more fun to watch than any of the batman movies (or the ironman or spiderman movies for that matter)
